A downloadable asset pack

A pixel style spinning gold coin I made for my short game Endless Knight

I couldnt find anything online, or on itchio, so I made my own. And now you can save yourself the same trouble by using mine :)

You are free to use this asset however you wish. However you may not upload the exact asset without addition or adjustment.

You dont need to give me credit, but you can if you want!

Install instructions

Download the asset, import it into your game engine of choice.

Split the texture into the 6 individual sprites, and create an animation that cycles between each sprite in order.

Unity Specific:

  1. Download the image and import it into your project
  2. Select the asset, and in the inspector set "Sprite Mode" to "Multiple", and "Filter Mode" to "Point (no filter)"
  3. Click the "Sprite Editor" button, apply changes when prompted
  4. In the new sprite editor window, at the top select "Slice" dropdown, and click "Slice" to slice using the default settings
  5. Click apply and close the sprite editor window
  6. In your project inspector view, expand out the spinning coin asset, you should see 6 numbered subfiles (sprites). Select them all and drag them into the scene view.
  7. Unity will prompt you to create a new animation, give it a name and save
  8. Done. Your coin is now in scene and spins. Consider turning the spinning coin into a prefab for easier re-use.
